The start of fall has brought some rainy days! Maybe you love the rain, maybe you hate it, but regardless, you can still make the most of your day and feel good and productive by the end of it with a little self-care and work on your to-do list. Here is what we recommend.
Journaling
There’s nothing like a moody, rainy day to put you in an introspective headspace perfect for journaling. Grab your notebook or, if you don’t have one, go out and get one! We love our Notebook because of the calming scene on the front cover. Then find a cozy, quiet and well-lit spot for writing — like a plush chair in front of a big window — and let your thoughts pour onto the pages in front of you.
Shopping
Some people want to be outside on a nice day rather than inside a store or building. If you’re one of those people, rainy days are the perfect opportunity to get some shopping done! Visit a couple stores or head online to get your essentials and maybe a gift or two for upcoming birthdays or holidays.
Cleaning
I know, I know — It’s not exactly a fun way to spend the day, but if you’re stuck inside you might as well get some cleaning done, right? If you’ve got dishes to do we recommend using one of our Cleaning Brushes. They are more hygienic than sponges because they don’t hold onto moisture for bacteria to grow. Wipe your counters down with one of our Counter Sprays, and then, if you've got laundry to do, toss one of our reusable Wool Dryer Balls into the dryer instead of a disposable dryer sheet!
Practicing Yoga
Just like the rain puts you in the mood to do some writing, it can also be conducive to reconnecting with your body and doing some mindful movement. Roll out a yoga mat, try some poses and pay attention to how your body feels, always remembering to be kind and patient with yourself. When you’re done, be sure to clean your mat. We like using our Namaste Natural Scented Spray.
