Ideas For A Fun & Festive Winter Day

Ideas For A Fun & Festive Winter Day

Snow has begun to fall and winter is just around the corner! It's time to start planning some fun winter activities. Check out our suggestions below. Most are great to do solo or with friends or family!

Attend a craft class/workshop

Attending a class is an excellent opportunity to learn or expand a skill, enjoy the company of others who share the same interest, and have some fun. Making a candle this winter is sure to tick all of those boxes and create a special holiday memory! Escape the snow outside and enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere of candle pouring. We hold classes throughout the holiday season at our Guelph, Fergus, and Blue Mountain stores. You can find class dates posted on our website.

Go to a holiday market

Bring your appetite and holiday gift lists for a day of fun at a holiday market! Markets are a wonderful place to be in the wintertime as rosy-cheeked people walk around getting special items for their loved ones. Plus the aroma of hot drinks and freshly baked goods really adds to the cheerful feeling in the air! We will be at several markets this holiday season. Join us Dec 1-2 at Spirit of the Season in Downtown Guelph, Dec 3 at the Reif Estate Winery Christmas Market in Niagara on the Lake, and Dec 8-14 at the Run the World Holiday Market at Square One Shopping Centre.

Have a wintery spa day

Sometimes when it's really cold and snowy out you just want to stay in. Sometimes it's so snowy out that it might even prevent you from leaving the house! Whichever the case, you can still enjoy a day in and feel good about it. We recommend gathering up all of your self-care goodies and having a winter spa day, like the one suggested below:

  1. Make your favourite holiday drink
  2. Bring it with you to the bathroom and light a Winter-Scented Soy Candle
  3. Put on some cheerful or relaxing holiday music
  4. Put on a Face Mask
  5. Apply Hair Oil to the ends of your hair
  6. Take a bath with a Winter-Scented Bath Bomb or Bath Salt
  7. Dry off and apply a Scented Body Butter

Decorate

What better way to put you in the holiday spirit and beautify your living space than to do some decorating! If you haven't already you can put up your Christmas tree and/or add some wintery touches to the rest of your home, i.e. add Winter Scented Candles and Winter Decor pieces to your Two Tiered Tray, Decorative Dough Bowls, and Candle Stands.

However you spend your time this winter, we hope you have an amazing season full of fun, cheer, and relaxation!

Love, The Scented Market Team 🤍
