Position Title:  Retail Store Manager   

Location:         Fergus, ON Canada

Hours:             35-40 hours per week

Position overview / what is this position all about?

The Store Manager is a self-motivated professional with strength in supervising employees and promoting exceptional customer service.

The store manager provides leadership /management of the sales team and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, making sure it runs smoothly and efficiently.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Setting sales targets 
  • Opening and closing the store and making Bank deposit
  • Ensures that that the merchandising and store standards are in line with the company guidelines 
  • Motivating sales teams to achieve a common goal/sales targets
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising sales team
  • Creating work schedule and submitting payroll
  • Managing Inventory 
  • Managing Store expenses
  • Managing Store Events

Qualifications and characteristics

You have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a successful history of training employees and guiding them to success
  • Proven track record of successfully managing both client and team relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail

 Part Time Retail Staff - Guelph Location and Fergus Location

Retail Staff will be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers and responding to all customers’ questions.
  • Process payments by totalling purchases: processing cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment.
  • Responsible for cash handling during their shift
  • Alerting management of potential security issues, etc.
  • Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Opening + closing store duties.
  • Store cleanliness
  • Providing an outstanding customer experience
  • Must be available on weekends and weekdays

MUST be available to float between our GUELPH and FERGUS locations. 

Part-time hours: 6-12 per week
