GUELPH RETAIL STORE MANAGER
Job description
Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in cash register transactions.
- Create and manage budgets to effectively allocate resources and control expenses.
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote sales and attract customers.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
This job also requires you to teach candle making classes on evenings and weekends and have your smart serve.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially if bilingual in languages commonly spoken in the local community.

Part Time Retail Staff - Blue Mountain Location
Retail Staff will be responsible for:
- Greeting customers and responding to all customers’ questions.
- Process payments by totalling purchases: processing cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment.
- Responsible for cash handling during their shift
- Alerting management of potential security issues, etc.
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Opening + closing store duties.
- Store cleanliness
- Providing an outstanding customer experience
- Must be available on evenings and weekends
MUST be available to come to the village and work in our retail store location.
Part-time hours: 6-12 per week
